  • The changing of levels within Dance FX is always decided with the student's best interest in mind
  • Placement is done by Dance FX Instructors with care and consideration at all levels of training

Tap Levels

A dance in which the rhythm is sounded out by the clicking taps on the heels and toes of a dancer's shoes.

A classical dance form characterized by grace and precision of movement and by elaborate gestures, steps and poses.

 

Classical Division

PRE-BALLET age 4/5   1-45 min class per week

BALLET 1 age 6/7         1- 1 hour class per week

BALLET 2 age 7-9         1-2 classes per week

BALLET 3 age 8-12      2 classes per week

BALLET IV age 10/11    3-4 classes per week

BALLET V age 12 +       4-5 classes per week

Theatre Levels:
Do you secretly love musical theatre but won't try out because you...um...well... can't sing!  Well now we have the perfect class for you!!  Musical Theatre Dance Only class!!  We will be learning only musical theatre dances but you will not be required to sing.  Shows we may focus on are WEST SIDE STORY, THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE, and much more!  Styles will be just as varied as the shows.  Ballet, jazz, tap, modern, and of course good ol' musical theatre.  Express yourself in a new way, through dance that has a story!
Musical Theatre 1
 What is upstage and downstage?  How do I put together a monologue?  What should I wear?  All these questions and more will be answered in this year's musical theatre class.  We will memorize monologues, work together on scenes, learn a song n dance, improvize and learn something about ourselves in the process.  Full of fun class for beginners
Musical Theatre 2
Learn the basics of musical comedy,acting, singing, dancing, focus on basic staging, theater terms and character development.

all over the world: a street or uban movement.

Acro & Tumbling
Acrobatics combines the tumbling elements of gymnastics with the elements and technique of jazz and lyrical. Class will focus on teaching students new to acrobatics beginning level tricks and teaching familiarized students more
advanced tricks. All classes will focus on improving the stength, balance, and flexability of each student. Classes will include frontward and backward 
tumbling (ie. front and back handsprings/tucks), controled stunts (ie. press handstands, elbow stands and hand walking), pass tumbling (ie. running
round-off back handspring), and various other tricks (ie. ariels, walkovers and frontovers).
